Dear friends of the DPC, pancreas enthusiasts and colleagues,

It’s our great pleasure to welcome you to the 44th annual meeting of the German Pancreatic Club (DPC) in Heidelberg. We are delighted you will join us in the assembly hall of the “Neue Universität” for three days full of science.

For this year’s conference, we uphold established traditions while adding new accents. We thank everyone who submitted an abstract and therefore contributed to sharpening the scientific profile of the DPC. This creates a diverse and interesting program which we are looking forward to.

This year’s conference offers a wide variety of workshops led by experts in the respective field. With great appreciation, we highlight the dedication of all workshop leaders to make this possible and are proud they all are willing to share their knowledge with the DPC community.

Staying in line with the key aim of the DPC, this meeting will be a stage for junior researchers. With the new format “coffee with the expert”, we established a new networking format for junior researchers, facilitating conversations with leading experts. We thank everyone—attendees and experts— for being open to contributing to this idea.

It’s an honor to welcome the pancreatic society to Heidelberg. We are looking forward to a congress full of interesting talks and appreciate everyone’s contribution to enable fruitful discussions and inspiring conversations inside and outside the assembly hall.

Welcome to Heidelberg!
